The officer taking the salute is General Sir Ivor Thomas KBE, DSO, MC also known as Butcher Thomas
late Commander 43 Brigade.


The officer standing above the memorial is Major-General C. L. Firbank. CB, CBE, DSO and bar.
The officer who is standing to one side is a mystery, if you know who he is please let us know too.
