The Cheux Plaque

cheux.jpg (120581 bytes)

Bill Edwardes who served with the 1 WORC R in NW Europe supplied this picture. Forty members of the 43rd Wessex Association visited Normandy in June 1998 when Michael Farrell, who also served there with the 1 WORC R, unveiled a plaque at the village of Cheux. The unveiling ad dedication followed a service of Remembrance at the St. Manvieu cemetery where some members of the Bn. are buried. A reception was given by the Mayor and villages of Cheux to round off the day.
